Glass jar with open top attached with 2 balloons attached to a Y tube simulate the lungs; the chest cavity & stout rubber sheet which acts as the diaphragm, demonstrating how the lungs are filled & emptied with air by the relaxation & contraction of the diaphragm muscle.
